Spiced Turkey Burgers are great to bbq or to grill, and are very low in fat, so a great healthy alternative to beef burgers.
500g turkey mince
½ red onion, grated
1 garlic clove, crushed
2 tsp Madras curry powder
handful chopped parsley
1 egg yolk
coconut oil to use in grill pan
In a large bowl, mix together the turkey mince, onion, garlic, curry powder, parsley and egg yolk with a little salt and pepper. Combine well with your hands, place in fridge for half hour then shape into 4 flat burger patties.
Heat the oil in a grill pan over a high heat, then cook the burgers for 5 mins each side or until cooked through. Alternatively you can bbq them.
Serve with sweet potato wedges and green veg or salad.
